Annual Anchor Inspections
Regular inspections are essential to keeping fall protection systems safe and compliant. Our team performs detailed evaluations to identify deformities, verify certifications, and document compliance with OSHA’s Walking-Working Surfaces Standard. Each inspection includes a comprehensive report with practical next steps, helping building owners and property managers keep systems reliable year after year.
Anchor Testing & Certifications
We provide OSHA-compliant testing and certification services that support workplace safety and regulatory adherence. Using non-destructive proof testing, each anchor is verified to meet the 5,000-lb. load requirement in any direction. Certification is required every 10 years—and recommended every 5 years for adhesive anchors—with each process overseen by a qualified Professional Engineer. At the Valcourt Group, we also recommend testing after structural modifications or damage to help maintain the highest safety standards.
Guardrail systems provide passive fall protection by creating a physical barrier along unprotected edges. According to OSHA 1910.29, any elevated surface with a drop of 4 feet or more requires fall protection to reduce the risk of injury from falls.
Often built from corrosion-resistant materials, guardrails are low-maintenance and can be painted in safety-enhancing colors like bright yellow for visibility. To meet different building requirements, the Valcourt Group offers:
- Non-Penetrating Guardrails
- Internal Wall Mount Guardrails
- Metal Roof Mount Guardrails
The Valcourt Group provides fixed and ship ladders engineered for safety, stability, and efficiency. These systems allow secure access to rooftops, mezzanines, and other elevated areas. Available in multiple configurations—including angled, vertical, caged, and fold-down designs—our ladders are highly customizable to your building’s needs. Constructed from high-grade structural aluminum, with optional powder coating, they are built for long-term durability and backed by a 5-year warranty.
To further support worker safety, we also provide ladder fall arrest systems that comply with OSHA 1910.28(b)(9). These systems are required for ladders exceeding 24 feet in height and help property owners meet regulatory deadlines for new and existing installations. Whether you need a new ladder system, a replacement, or a fall arrest upgrade, the Valcourt Group delivers solutions that help minimize risk, reduce liability, and support compliance.
We offer modular access systems that are versatile, customizable, and designed to support safe rooftop access while reducing slips, trips, and falls. Our solutions include:
- Stairs & Platform Systems
- Crossover Stairs
- Modular Ramps
- Stair Bridges
Constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminum and backed by a 5-year warranty, these systems are pre-engineered with a no-weld design. The result is a flexible, durable, and cost-effective option for a wide range of building needs.
Roof hatch guardrails with self-closing gates provide an important layer of protection for anyone accessing rooftop areas through hatches. By surrounding the hatch opening with guardrails and incorporating a self-closing gate, these systems help prevent accidental falls while maintaining safe and efficient access.
Compliant with OSHA standards 1910.28(b)(3)(i) and 1910.28(b)(3)(iv) each system comes with a 5-year warranty. Made from lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum, they can be customized in a variety of colors, fit any roof hatch size, and installed without roof penetration.
Not sure where to begin? A Rooftop Safety Audit helps identify risks and simplify compliance. Our team evaluates your facility, highlights potential hazards, and delivers a clear action plan tailored to your property.
What’s Included in the Audit?
- Aerial View of the Facility
- Individual Roof Solution Designs
- Compliance Checklist by Roof
- Budgets by Priority and Risk
- Comprehensive Audit Report
Our Rooftop Safety Audit gives building owners and property managers a clear view of rooftop safety priorities — and the tools to move forward confidently.
We design and install scaffold suspension systems that create secure access for façade maintenance, exterior repairs, and window cleaning. Designed with components such as davit arms, rigging sleeves, monorails, and tieback anchors, these systems provide a stable, OSHA-compliant alternative to mechanical lifts or cranes — often with greater efficiency and lower long-term cost.
Skylights are one of the most common rooftop fall hazards. OSHA defines skylights as roof openings, which require protective measures under standard 1910.28(b)(3)(i). The Valcourt Group offers skylight covers and guardrails that provide effective fall protection without the need for certification.
Traveling fall restraint systems are designed to limit worker movement and prevent access to hazardous areas. OSHA requires workers using these systems to complete specific training on equipment use, inspection, and safety practices.
The Valcourt Group helps prepare your workforce with comprehensive training that covers system components, best practices, and current safety standards — equipping teams to work confidently while reducing risks.
Walkway systems create safe, efficient rooftop pathways that protect workers as they move across hazardous or restricted areas. These durable aluminum systems guide personnel away from fall risks, rooftop equipment, and other obstructions — reducing workplace injuries and supporting compliance.
Custom-built to fit your property, our walkway systems require no end-user training, making them a straightforward alternative to active fall protection methods. With a one-time installation, they provide a durable, low-maintenance solution that enhances rooftop safety in alignment with OSHA standard 1910.22(c).
Effective training is essential to prevent fall-related incidents. The Valcourt Group provides hands-on programs that include:
- Hazard Awareness
- Hazard Recognition & Abatement
- End-User Training
Our training programs help employers meet OSHA requirements while giving teams the knowledge and confidence to work safely at height.
