The World Cup may have been the destination, but Valcourt Group’s Road to the World Cup was about something much bigger: celebrating our people, strengthening our safety culture, and recognizing the employees who make our company stronger.
Through safety goals, employee referrals, and winner celebrations, this company-wide initiative gave employees across the Valcourt Group an opportunity to work toward a shared goal—and gave 50 field employees the chance to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The Road to the World Cup by the Numbers
- 50 Valcourt Group employees received World Cup tickets for themselves and a guest
- 17 branches were represented among the winners
- More than 100 employee referrals helped strengthen our teams
- Thousands of employees contributed to safety initiatives
Why We Created the Initiative
The Road to the World Cup was never intended to be simply a ticket giveaway. It was designed to reinforce two priorities that are essential to Valcourt Group’s continued success: protecting our people and bringing talented individuals into our organization.
Safety is more than a set of requirements at Valcourt Group—it is a core value shared by every employee. Throughout the initiative, branches worked toward ambitious safety goals that reinforced accountability, teamwork, and the shared responsibility of helping everyone return home safely each day.
The initiative also highlighted the important role employees play in growing our teams. By referring people they know and trust, employees help identify strong candidates who can contribute to our culture and serve our clients with excellence.
“This initiative is about recognizing what matters most to our business—our people and how we take care of each other. Safety is not just a priority, it’s a core value, and by supporting our teams and bringing in the right people, we continue to build a stronger Valcourt Group.” — Patrick DeMarinis, President, Window Cleaning Division
How the Road to the World Cup Worked
Employees and branches had several ways to participate throughout the initiative.
Branches worked toward established safety goals, reinforcing safe work practices while creating friendly competition across the company.
Employees could also participate through referrals, helping the Valcourt Group connect with qualified candidates while earning opportunities to receive World Cup tickets.
At the conclusion of the initiative, 50 field employees were selected to receive two tickets—one for themselves and one for a guest—to attend a World Cup match. Winners represented 17 Valcourt Group branches across the country, reflecting the company-wide reach of the initiative.
A Company-Wide Journey
Throughout the initiative, excitement built as employees worked toward safety goals, submitted referrals, and awaited the winner announcements.
Winner announcements became some of the initiative’s most memorable moments. Branch leaders surprised employees on camera, capturing the excitement as they learned they had received tickets. From cheers and handshakes to emotional reactions, each announcement offered a meaningful reminder of the people behind Valcourt Group’s success.
The celebrations continued through interviews, social media posts, branch photos, and behind-the-scenes videos as winners shared what attending the World Cup meant to them and who they planned to bring. Whether it was a first World Cup match or an opportunity to create lasting memories with family and friends, each story became part of a much larger company-wide celebration.
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Moment
For one member of the Valcourt Group team, the Road to the World Cup became even more unforgettable.
While attending a match, Alberto Fernandez Romero of JOBS-AMST proposed to his girlfriend—and she said yes!
What began as an opportunity to experience one of the world’s biggest sporting events became a milestone they will remember for the rest of their lives. It was a joyful and unexpected highlight that demonstrated how the impact of the Road to the World Cup extended far beyond the matches themselves.
Congratulations to the happy couple! We are honored that the Road to the World Cup could play a small part in such an important chapter of their story.
Our People Made the Journey Meaningful
The Road to the World Cup gave 50 employees an unforgettable experience, but its significance went far beyond the tickets. It gave us an opportunity to recognize field employees, celebrate their contributions, and bring our teams together around the values that define the Valcourt Group.
Thank you to every employee who helped strengthen our safety culture, submitted a referral, supported a coworker, or helped make the journey memorable. Your participation turned an exciting incentive into a meaningful company-wide experience.
The winners may have attended the matches, but every Valcourt Group employee who contributed helped make the Road to the World Cup possible.
