Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico and in the heart of Destin, the luxurious Pelican Beach Resort was in need of a complete exterior face-lift to update its look. All project work had to be completed before the summer season, avoiding spring break time, to ensure minimal disruption to guests.
Valcourt worked closely with Herb Profitt, Manager of the Pelican Homeowners Association, to complete the exterior building renovation in two phases to minimize disruptions to guests. Valcourt also corroborated with Thompson Engineering to ensure that established quality and specs were met for the project. A four-week look ahead schedule was provided to ensure that owners were not inconvenienced.
Phase 1: Valcourt began project work with an elastomeric coating, changing the color of the building while heightening its architectural features.
Phase 2: Valcourt returned promptly afterward to provide coating for 90,000 feet of common walkway decks. All work was completed before the summer season began.
Valcourt successfully completed both phases of this extensive building restoration in tight time frames so as not to disrupt Pelican Beach Resort’s guests during the busy rental seasons.
